Comparing Groups using Intel Visual Ranking Tool

My Group: Team 1

Highest Correlation with Teams 2, 5, and 6 (0.90) - I would say that we correlated with Team 5 the best simply because our top 3 were the same and causes 4 and 5 were flip-flopped.

Lowest Correlation with Team 4 (0.50)

Our ranking was 1.00 with the class average....we were the class average haha.

CIVIL WAR

The rationales for these might be a little more brief than some of yours...but here we go.
1. SLAVERY. Now it seems I'm one of the few of the entire class to rank this as no.1. The reason I do so is that I feel there would have absolutely not been civil war if not for slavery. Yes, the one website mentioned how only a minority of the soldiers from each side cited slavery as the reason they joined either Union or Confederacy. However, the politicians appeared to feel otherwise. Also, the other causes point back to slavery if you think about it.
2.STATE RIGHTS. It was because of slavery that state rights were being questioned and conversed, amongst other things as well...but slavery was the foundation of questioning state rights.
3. ECONOMIC DIFFERENCES."The South had an economic interest in the spread of slavery to the new territories so that new slave states could be created and the South's political influence would remain strong"(quoting one of the websites provided) It seems as though slavery is linked to this cause as well....not to mention how the South sought more power...that could be a cause.
4.ELECTION OF LINCOLN. I really feel that causes 3, 4, and 5 are all equal (of my opinion) It was because of Lincoln's election that more Southern states started to secede.
5. RISE OF ABOLITION. Hey a movement to tick off the Southerners who wanted slavery for state rights, political power, and economic purposes. Again I feel that the rise of Abolition, Election of Lincoln, and Economic Differences could go in any order of 3 through 5.
